I hope that everybody had a fantastic Canada day; I know I did!
For the past week I have been in Rondeau Provincial Park staying at a cottage with my family. It is our annual tradition, and I absolutely love it. This year, we spent our time lounging by the dock overlooking Rondeau bay, biking through the trails, laying on the beach, paddleboarding, and one of my favorite things to do in Rondeau – windsurfing! Overall it was a great week full of relaxation, rejuvenation, and family time.
This year I had the opportunity to celebrate Canada day while in Rondeau. It allowed me to appreciate the beauty that Canada has to offer. After spending the morning having coffee on the dock, I headed to Chatham to celebrate the annual ‘Canada D’Eh’ festival. My friend Melanie Renaud (Canada’s Perfect Supermodel) and I partook in the parade as we rode in a police boat! Then, we spent our afternoon in Tecumseh Park partaking in the Canada day festivities. We were given the honour to take the first cut of a ginormous Canada day themed cake that fed the entire park!
I must say, I am so proud to be Canadian! I am blessed to live in this beautiful, wonderous country. Being brought up in Canada has made me the person I am today!
Now that I’m home from Rondeau, I’m off on my next adventure in Toronto! Until next time,
